Size Chart
Clothing Sizes
Our sizes our designed to fit and flatter women with curves and those without, but also to provide a comfortable fit. Hence, the hip, waist and bust measurements are slightly larger than the average UK 8/10 and 12/14 sizes. Due to this reason there is an overlap sizing measurements given on the chart.
How our sizes work:
Height - Height measurements are according to women measuring 5ft 6inches.
Extra Small: Our XS sizes are designed to provide a loose comfortable fit for size 8 women and a close fit for a size 10 women.
Small: Our Small sizes are designed to provide a loose comfortable fit for a size 10 women and a close fit for a size 12 women.
Medium: Our medium sizes are designed to provide a loose comfortable fit for a size 12 women and a close fit for a size 14 women.
Hips and waist measurements: Our surveys have found that a majority of women, who have one size for their upper body, do not have the same size for their lower body. This is why you’ll find that all Dressmaker garments have slightly larger hip and waist measurements to accommodate.
How to measure yourself
Measuring tips for accurate results:
Take your measurements over underwear (not over everyday clothing). Keep both feet flat on the floor. Ensure the tape measure is level around your body and do not allow it to twist or pull too tight.
If your measurements are on the borderline of a size, you may find the next size up provides a more comfortable fit
Bust
Measure around the fullest part of your bust and across the shoulder blades
Waist
Measure around the narrowest part of your waist (above your navel and below your ribcage)
Hips

Top of Shoulder
Measure from your collarbone. Shoulder width is from shoulder tip to shoulder tip
Inside Leg
Measure from the very top of your inside leg to your ankle
Height

Sleeve
